We recommend 6 inch K-style gutters on most Colorado Springs homes. Summer monsoon flows off the foothills can overwhelm smaller gutters quickly, and larger roof planes or steep pitches concentrate even more water at the edge. Smaller 5 inch K-style is standard on homes with modest roof planes.
Seamless gutters are formed from a single roll of material on site and cut to the exact length of each run, so the only joints are at corners and outlets. Sectional gutters are assembled from short stock lengths, and every joint is a place that can eventually leak or clog. We fabricate seamless on site in aluminum or steel.
It is usually the better sequence. Gutters attach at the roof edge, where drip edge, fascia, and ice-and-water shield all meet. Doing both at once means those details are built as one assembly and finished work does not have to be reopened later. We can quote the roof and the gutters in a single estimate.
